I am a Freelance Hair and Makeup Artist, and Award Winning Body Painter who offers you Professional Unique Immersive Experiences and Tailored Services. I specialise in Advanced Techniques of Body Paint, Special Effects - SFX, and Hair and Makeup Artistry located in Blaenau Gwent covering South Wales to Hereford and Gloucester.

I am foundation degree qualified and fortunate to have collaborated and trained with talented Models, Makeup Artists, and Photographers, such as professionals who worked on Harry Potter, Doctor Who and Game of Thrones.

My vision is to engage people to realise that everyone can enjoy the world of the makeup artist, whether it is to celebrate themselves, transformation, beauty, marketing or pure appreciation of artistic creativity.

Private Face Painting

Popular for Halloween, families or smaller parties or events. I offer private adult face painting or children's face painting for small groups of 2 to 6 children,1 to 4 adults or a combination of both, in the comfort of your own home or your choice of private event. At least one parent/guardian must be present at all times for childrens bookings.

Child face only from £10

Adult face only from £20.

(Can not be used for proms, weddings or stag parties. Children under 2 will not be painted, Children under 3 may have a small design on the back of their hand or cheek).

Event Face Painting

Hire me for Community, Corporate, Weddings, Private Parties, and Themed Events or when speed painting is required for larger numbers.

Face painting events 2 hours minimum duration £75, each additional hour £30

Travel expenses are charged if travelling over 5 miles.

SFX - Ultimate Transformation Experience

This rare opportunity allows you to immerse yourself in the actors makeup chair. Experience the feelings of the transformation as your character comes to life. Special effects (SFX) allows you to celebrate who or what you want to be.

Out of kit SFX, such as Zombie Makeup, Cuts, bruises, wounds, scars, blood & burns start from £40.

Creative or Fashion Makeup and Photoshoots (pictured above right) start from £60 per model.

Times vary depending on requirements, photoshoot includes 3 digitally edited images saved in JPG files. Additional edited images £5. A £20 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.

Mini Photoshoots in can be booked or added to services provided from £25 with 1 free edited jpg digital image to capture the memory. Each additional edited jpg image is £5.

Please note I do not print photos and you may need to select your digital images a different day: after editing which will then be sent to you directly in jpg format.

Code of Practice and Disclaimers

Your services are being provided by a Professional Artist who follows a strict code of practice regarding health, hygiene, and safety, and is enhanced CRB cleared. Please declare any allergies or contraindications which may affect or restrict the design or services provided such as health conditions etc If booking 48 hours in advance a patch test can be arranged please advise Sarah if you would like this service. All children must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian who is responsible for cleaning the skin before the service is provided.

Children/adults who have contraindications such as feeling unwell/ sick, displaying Covid-19 symptoms, or with a cold sore, eczema, open cut, conjunctivitis, headlice, or other infectious conditions, etc will not have any services provided. If when having the service provided contraindications are found, I will discreetly inform you however the service will cease and is non-refundable.

All products used for services - comply with UK, EU & FDA regulations and are used in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and instructions.

Please do not ask for services if you have allergies or sensitive skin. If any irritation or redness occurs please inform the artist immediately so the makeup can be removed. In the event of a continuation of irritation or adverse reaction, it may be necessary to seek medical advice. Sarah Emma accepts no liability for incidental, or consequential reactions or damages however characterised, for example, eczema, sensitive skin, and allergic reactions, etc. In the event of a cessation of services, the service is non-refundable.

Unsatisfactory service provided must be a mistake by the artist, not something you might have changed your mind about (after the service has been performed). Inform the service provider immediately for resolution. The time frame for letting me know you are dissatisfied with your service is no later than 48 hours after your service has been completed.

Cancellation & Booking Terms and Conditions

If I cancel an appointment I will refund the full deposit and where possible offer a further future appointment date.

Prices valid to 01/09/2023 - Prices they could increase from 2/09/23.

All services and deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure the appointment. The deposit will be deducted from the final balance of the 'On-The-Day' service provided.

If a home visit is requested then an additional charge of £10 is added to the final balance.

CANCELLATIONS

All deposits are non-refundable should the client wish to cancel the appointment.

Should any member of a group booking cancel their booking after the deposit has been paid, full payment of the service will still be due for the original whole group booking.

Deposits and Payments

Payments are made by PayPal or Cash - if agreed upon before the service date.

Booking is fully secure upon cleared payment of the deposit, followed by a confirmation email/message/text from Sarah Emma. Failure to pay the deposit or clear payment will mean that your chosen date is not secured and could be booked by someone else, appointments are only confirmed upon receipt of the deposit.

Final balance - All balances must be settled 7 days before an appointment unless an alternative arrangement has been made.

Full makeup prices apply to school age year 10 (14 years of age)

Travel expenses are charged if traveling over 5 miles at 50p per mile which is added to the final balance.

Body paint - Pricing and timeline will also depend on the design of the commissioned artwork. Feel free to message me for inquiries. Body painting prices start from £50 and increase depending on chosen design. A consultation for the design is required before the service date. According to the budget, a breakdown of costs will be provided, discussed, and agreed upon before the service date. Bodypainting can be smaller partial body designs such as side, legs, back, face, shoulders, and neck areas, etc, depending on budget and personal preferences. Costume or SFX etc can be incorporated, which I am happy to discuss and tailor to you. Bodypainting age must be 18 years of age - Identification may be required. No offensive or inappropriate art will be painted. Undergarments must be worn such as pants. Bras, nipple pasties, and gems are optional

All body painting projects include makeup with full kit/equipment, paint, and includes one complimentary digital photo from the edited photoshoot and may include a short reel i.e. Tiktok/Instagram. Each additional photo is £5. The edited media may not be available on the day and a further viewing appointment may be arranged.

Children under the age of 2 will not be provided with services such as painting or makeup applied. It is recommended that children aged 2 to 3 years have a small design on the cheek, hand, or arm only. Children must be willing and able to sit.

SFX

£20 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking and a patch test is to determine suitable products during an initial consultation. Please declare any allergies at the booking stage. A later patch test may be required 48 hours before services are provided. If any irritation or redness occurs during service please inform the artist immediately so the makeup can be removed. In the event of a continuation of irritation or adverse reaction, it may be necessary to seek medical advice.

Following SFX makeup removal adhesive may be present this can be removed with alcohol gel, isopropanol alcohol, a makeup cleanser, or olive oil by gently rubbing and wiping the area with a soft clean cloth then washing with soap and drying. Makeup may cause staining and can be removed by washing, micellar water, alcohol gel, isopropanol alcohol, or using an oil-based cleanser such as olive oil. If alcohol paints have been applied they can be removed with alcohol gel or isopropanol alcohol by applying and wiping with a clean cloth. cotton pad or tissue.

Photography -additional information

I do not print photographs, selected images will be sent to you in a digital JPG format through an agreed communication method such as messenger or what's app and you may acquire prints which are not allowed to be sold or used for any other commercial or promotional purposes unless a prior agreement has been arranged, to do so contravenes copyright infringement which is subject to the law. Sarah Emma will usually take photos or film the results of make-up and hairstyles at the trial - for reference and continuity. 'On the day' photos/videos may be used by me for promotional and/or commercial purposes. If you do not consent to this please let me know. Copyright all Photographs remain copyrighted to Sarah Emma Williams. The photographer can permit certain conditions for the reproduction of the images including for personal use by the client and friend or relatives and for portfolios.

The client, model, or parent and or guardian grant the photographer their legal representative unlimited consent to use the images for commercial, sale, editorial, or advertising in any manner such as digital or printed. And is allowed to alter the image without restrictions and to copyright the images without consent. Any models/clients or with parent or guardian consent to the participation of agreement to release of any photographs into the public domain.

Due to photo editing, you may have to select your digital images a different day from the completed photoshoot of which a date will be agreed upon.
